Vascular Laboratory

dopler_scannerEarly detection of cardiovascular disease is essential to treating the disease successfully, and is possible through the use of non-invasive vascular testing techniques performed at Chester River Hospital Center's Vascular Laboratory.

Vascular laboratory studies include evaluation of the arterial system of the lower and upper extremities by ultrasound, Doppler, and pulse volume recording analysis to identify disease. These noninvasive studies are used to identify and manage patients with leg pain or non-healing wounds, abnormalities related to cardiovascular disease, disorders of the heart and blood vessels, stroke and blood clots.

Chester River Hospital Center's Vascular Laboratory is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL), one of a select few in the United States, Canada and Mexico to meet or exceed ICAVL standards for non-invasive vascular testing.
