Chester River Home Care & Hospice will join with international partners to celebrate World Hospice and Palliative Care Day on. On Saturday, October 9. There th there will be events across the world to commemorate World Hospice and Palliative Care Day; it. It is a unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world. The second Saturday in October has become a special day for Chester River Home Care & Hospice. “Over the past three years we have joined with hospices across the globe to celebrate World Hospice and Palliative Care Day. Because there are people throughout the world and locally that are unaware of their options for care at the end-of-life we will be spreading the word in Fountain Park at the Farmer’s Market on October the 9,” says Sam Ricketts, RNC, Community Educator. “We want to join with our neighbors to celebrate and support hospice services around the world. We will have cookies and balloons and information. The highlight of our morning will be music by local musical legends, Bob and Pam Ortiz. We are once again joining with hospices in France, India, and the Philippines to raise awareness and to provide an opportunity to talk about end-of-life care.”
