Chester River Hospital Auxiliary, Unit 2, Purchases Dry Erase Boards for Patient Rooms
Chester River Hospital Auxiliary Unit 2 recently purchased dry erase boards to be hung in all patient rooms. Unit 2’s generous donation, valued at $2075, represents one of many helpful contributions they make each year to the hospital. The boards provide a common space for vital information for and about the patient to be posted daily. Kathy Abend, RN and director of inpatient services, says “The boards are used to provide basic information for the patients about their day, such as the date and who their nurses are for the day. They also will help facilitate interdepartmental communication to assure safe, quality care We are very grateful for the generosity of the Auxiliary. The staff is very happy with the boards and feels they will give them one more tool to help provide the very best care we can.”
