Hospital Foundation Board
Honors David A. Bramble

David A. Bramble has been named as the second recipient of the Chester River Hospital Center Foundation’s T. Allan Stradley Humanitarian Award. The award recognizes extraordinary individuals who have contributed significantly to the enhancement of health care in our community; this is only the second time the award has been presented.

It was through Bramble's vision, initiative and financial support that the outpatient chemotherapy treatment program was established at Chester River Hospital Center.

With this service offered locally, patients no longer need to drive an hour each way to receive treatment. His gift was in memory of his mother, Caroline A. Bramble, who died from the disease when he was a teenager.

Bramble, a life-long donor to the Hospital, received a framed copy of a resolution naming him the second recipient of the award. Also his name will be inscribed on a bronze plaque that hangs in the Hospital’s lobby.

Mr. David A. Bramble is presented the T. Allan Stradley Humanitarian Award.

The presentation was made at the Foundation’s Annual Meeting on March 25 by outgoing president C. Daniel Saunders and newly elected President Tony Gibbons-Neff. The award was created in 1997 to express the Foundation’s gratitude for an individual’s vision, commitment, generosity and dedication to serving the health care needs of the hospital and the people in its community. The Award was named after T. Allan Stradley, the award’s first recipient.
