Klinefelter Appointed Executive Vice President of Chester River Hospital Center

Chestertown, MD — November 10, 2003 — Robin E. Klinefelter, a career healthcare executive who has been responsible for Chester River Health System’s strategic planning and development, has been appointed executive vice president of Chester River Hospital Center, a component of Chester River Health System.

Klinefelter has served as vice president of support & administrative services since 2001. She previously served as vice president of strategy development and vice president of public relations & fund raising. She has been associated with the hospital since 1986.

“Robin has played a major role in the growth and development of the hospital and Chester River Health System. She has managed the design and implementation of the organization’s strategic planning process and has been instrumental in developing the hospital’s potential to meet the healthcare needs of the people of Kent and Queen Anne’s counties,” noted William R. Kirk, Jr., president & CEO of Chester River Hospital Center, in announcing her appointment.

In 2001 she was named a diplomate of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Only 7,000 of more than 30,000 healthcare executives nationwide hold diplomate status in ACHE. Klinefelter graduated summa cum laude from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in English in 1986 and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Wilmington College in 1994. Klinefelter is a resident of Crumpton, Md.

Chester River Health System is a non-profit, integrated healthcare system based in Chestertown. It is comprised of Chester River Hospital Center, Chester River Home Care & Hospice and Magnolia Hall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
