Hospital Medical Staff Leadership for 2002
Frederick
T. Lohr, M.D., has been elected by his colleagues to serve as president
of Kent & Queen Anne's Hospital's Medical Staff which represents
all physicians with privileges at the hospital in matters of clinical
and administrative policy, quality assurance and strategic planning.
As president, Lohr will represent the medical staff as a voting member
of the hospital's Board of Directors; he previously served as president
in 1994. A graduate of the Hahnemann University, he completed his
residency training at the University of Maryland Hospital and began
an orthopedic practice in Chestertown in 1987.
President-elect of the medical staff is Anita R. Sgrignoli, M.D.,
a pathologist at Kent & Queen Anne's Hospital. Prior to joining
the hospital in 1996, she completed a fellowship in cytopathology
at the National Cancer Institute. She is a graduate of the University
of Virginia School of Medicine and was the chief resident in pathology
at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Elected as secretary/treasurer is Frederick W. Delboy, M.D., a family
practitioner who earned a medical degree from the University of Virginia
and completed a residency at the University Hospitals of Cleveland
where he was co-chief resident for the Department of Family Medicine.
He joined the family medicine practice of Wayne D. Benjamin, M.D.,
in August of 1997.
Anthony J. Moorman, M.D., the past president, will also be a member
of the Medical Executive Committee. Additional members of this committee
are Surgical Performance Improvement Chairman Joseph B. Aquilla, M.D.;
Medical Performance Improvement Chairman Andrew S. Ferguson, M.D.,
and members-at-large Freddy O. Araujo, M.D., George Panas, M.D., and
Susan K. Ross, M.D.

officers for 2002: (from the left): Anita R. Sgrignoli, M.D,
president-elect; Frederick W. Delboy, M.D, secretary/treasurer;
Frederick T. Lohr, M.D., president, and Anthony J. Moorman,
M.D. is the past president.
