Hospital and Magnolia Hall Collecting
Toys for Children

Kent & Queen Anne's Hospital and Magnolia Hall Rehabilitation & Nursing Center employees are collecting toys and gifts for less fortunate children this holiday season. The Kent County Christmas Basket Committee and the Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence will distribute collected items.

The public is invited to participate by donating new unwrapped toys, games, stuffed animals and sports equipment. Collection boxes will be located in the Hospital's lobby and at Magnolia Hall's main entrance until 11 a.m., Monday, December 17.

Gifts are especially needed for older children, 8 to 15 years old. Suggested items for this age group include watches, jewelry, CDs, videos, manicure supplies, hair accessories, sports related items and games, diaries, backpacks, yo-yos, books and gel pens. Arts and crafts kits and supplies are appreciated. Always popular are games, in both the regular or junior versions, such as Yahtzee, Uno, Scrabble, Clue and Monopoly.

The Mid-Shore Council provides emergency shelter for women and children, counseling and a 24-hour hotline for those experiencing domestic violence in Kent and Queen Anne's counties. The hotline number is 1-800-927-4673.
