Magnolia Hall
Procedures
Admissions
The decision to enter a long-term care facility, such as Magnolia Hall, is not an easy
one. Once the decision is made do not delay initiating the process of selecting and
applying for admission. Beds are not always immediately available for new residents; names
may have to be placed on a waiting list. Those on the waiting list may enter another
facility with the understanding that they may then enter Magnolia Hall when a bed becomes
available.
A visit to the Center can answer questions and offer reassurance as well as describe the
necessary procedures for entrance to a long-term care facility. It can also eliminate many
concerns as well as provide information about the numerous options and services available.
Families are encouraged to visit and to bring the future resident if possible.
The admission coordinator is available to answer questions, discuss concerns, explain
procedures and conduct a tour. The tour includes introductions to various individuals
responsible for the overall care of residents. Please return for a second visit and tour
if needed. The admission coordinator may be reached at (410) 778-4550 or at [email protected]
