They include decorating bulletin boards, both in resident rooms and around the facility, walking with residents around the grounds or pushing them in a wheelchair, and reading short stories or poetry to residents. Volunteers may also provide residents with ice water and snacks. Volunteer shifts vary between 9:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Friday.
